GMP stand for Good Manufacturing Practices and it is a system for ensuring that products are consistently produced and controlled according to quality standards. It is designed to minimize the risks involved in any food production process.

This system is to ensure the ingredients, products and packaging materials are handled safely and that food products are processed in a suitable environment and safe from any contamination.

MESTI

MESTI stand for Makanan Selamat, Tanggungjawab Industri, which translate into “Food Safety Is Responsibility of The Industry”.

It is a form of food safety assurance system certification scheme imposed by the Minister of Health (MoH) Malaysia managed by the ministry’s Food Safety and Quality Division (BKKM). It was introduced to facilitate the small and medium enterprises (SME’s) to fulfill requirements allocated under Food Hygiene Regulations 2009 as its primary objectives.
